Gabe, Gabe, Gabe, Gabe, Gabe... You're making a classic newbie mistake.
You assume that auditors are required to have experience, strong domain
knowledge, an average IQ or better. Nothing could be farther from the
truth. In reality, auditors need nothing more than a willingness to make
claims that sound reasonable to management, a direct deposit account,
and a fast getaway car.
