My two cents: gpu cards are extremely effective bitcoin miners. However, My only experience was a mining co-op. It took 52 hours of pinned GPU to generate a single bitcoin. I also occasionally see mining scripts showing up on webservers. How effective are fpga miners?
For comparison, the setup I had was a Radeon 6950 that could generate 300 megahashes per second. Other guys in the coop were mining at several gigahashes with dedicated mining rigs. I compared cost of electricity to bitcoin value and couldn't continue. Maybe it was the low return rate from the coop. -Daniel Arthur Callister Hatchling Plugger Levi Pearson <[email protected]> wrote: >As more bitcoins are mined, it becomes more computationally expensive >to mine new ones.
