There are a few reasons why people might think this way. * RHEL is run by a "real company" with support offerings which makes it better suited towards enterprise use. There is some truth to this, however Debian is just as good and stable as RHEL. You just need to find support elsewhere if you need external support. * RHEL is primarily created for servers, and client usage is poor and/or an afterthought. This is also true, but doesn't mean that a distribution that also targets clients can't be good at both.
