John, I am waiting for a good maker space to be developed in Utah county. This sounds like a great project. I read the article you linked to and it raised some questions. Would you be willing to rebut the statements by Tara Riddle regarding the irreparable features of the structure? If it is as bad (or worse) than she claims, then wouldn't getting rid of this structure at a discount be warranted? The second thought I had would be one of producing a sustainable enterprise. There have been a few attempts at something similar to this before in Utah county. It seems like they ran out of steam and folded. This is one major reason I've been uninterested in participating. Having a project start on a really solid foundation seems to make sense to me. In a nutshell, this seems like 'too much, too fast.' With so much activity in the Lehi area, have you explored options there? Of course, I'm not really involved. These are comments from the peanut gallery. Take them with a grain of salt. The moment I see a sustainable and reliable option will bring my ideas... And my money. I sincerely wish you the best of luck. It would be amazing to have a space. -Ryan /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
