I am the opposite. I absolutely do, give a damn. There is a lot more to an EV cert than filling out a form and paying more money. I understand the extra validation process that has been done on my behalf. It is not required, but it is a bonus to their reputation. In direct human interactions there are a million small ways a company can gain a reputation (permanent sign, nametags, business license on the wall, etc). It's nice to see some easy options for a user to easily tell what level of validation was done for a website. /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
