+1 for Ubiquity UniFi AP. I personally have the "long range" one. I can get
WiFi (though a tad flaky) from the end of my driveway, some 100 yards from
where it sits in my apartment, past the other building on the lot (my
landlord). I get great signal out in the back yard.

The 1st gens had some issue. Maybe you can get a 2nd gen right out the
gate, but be aware that I was able to get them to ship me a replacement
without my needing to ship my unit back first. Their customer service is
good.
