In my case, Im now using SVN with the latest revision, but the behaviour is the same as it was when I used the exe file. The plugin only works when slimserver is ran from the command line, and it shows the "missing strings" after adding translated strings as I mentioned earlier.
Hmm... it doesn't work at all for me! After a change to a string, all the plugins' strings are lost. This must be one of the improvements in the plugin api I did a while back - without testing my own stuff :-/
