So, I downloaded SoftSqueeze 2.2 (with SlimServer 6.2) and am using Mac OS X Tiger. I ran into an oddity that may well be a Mac issue.
I tried out SoftSqueeze and got an error message Connection failed. Check SlimServer settings. I looked at my SoftSqueeze preferences and, under Basic , SlimServer hostname, I had Daniel Cohen's PowerBook G4 12" which is the name for my computer. I changed this to localhost, and all is now well, but this should not be necessary. One reason I think it may be a Mac issue is that I clicked on the Web button, and got the message that Safari could not connect to that location. On the other hand, safari is occasionally weird - I've known it fail to connect to localhost - so it could still be a SoftSqueeze issue. -- danco _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
