I have installed mplayer on a Debian based linux box (distro is Mepis).
All works fine from the command line - I can get the radio1 live feed
no problems.

(using:
mplayer -cache 128
rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio1/live/r1_dsat_g2.ra

)

However, AlienBBC is not playing the game. I can play Virgin Radio OK,
but no BBC streams. The SB2 display shows that it is playing, but no
sound is heard and the bars on the dispaly dont 'jump' to the music....
I have attached the startup output to show AlienBBC is loading fine. The
other attachement is the output when source debugging is turned on.

If I run the same command that slim seems to be running to play this
stream (as shown in the debug output):

mplayer -cache 128 -af volume=0,resample=44100:0:1,channels=2 -ao
pcm:nowaveheader:file=/dev/fd/3
"rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio1/live/r1_dsat_g2.ra"

I get the error shown in the mplayer debug txt file.

Any ideas what is going on here ??
