It sounds like something is causing the BBC to be disconnected after 10 mins and so Slimserver restarts it. This could be network related or someting in your PC.
Does the 10 mins timeout happen when you run the Mplayer standalone test. Can you turn on d_source (server settings/debugging) and get a log of when the stream stops & restarts.
