Thanks for the feedback Adrian. I'm not using any pc-based firewall software and the XP firewall is disabled.
I'll re-install SlimServer - straight over the top of the existing installation, right? If that doesn't fix it I'll post a debug log. FYI, I'm seeing wmadec (and FLAC when appropriate) being spawned in the task manager but only for a second-or-so. I can't say I've noticed socketwrapper being spawned so maybe the server re-install will fix the problem. Thanks again.
