Using your information I was able to determine that the problem is in the MusicMatch library. If I don't use MM and scan out of Slimserver, everything works as expected.

The question is - how do I remove the problem entries from the MM library? I'm running headless on Linux. I used the Windows GUI for my initial scan, but the library there seems to be fine. I don't have song-by-song control over the library. It's like Hotel California - once you check in you can never leave. Changing the music directory and rescanning the library doesn't help.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm using Music Magic but not exactly sure how Music Magic integration works and if/how it would affect this problem. When using MM, where does the Slimserver library data come from? What happens when I perform a rescan?

If you are using MM integration, then the data is coming directly from MM. However, if you also have a Music folder setting, then the data is combined. if you have a shortcut in the music folder that links to the second set of folders, then it will be scanned. if you have musicmagic storing all of the metadata, then it will be imported even if the music folder setting in slimserver only points to one of the folders.

relevant debug flags:
d_musicmagic, d_scan, d_import, d_info (for detailed metadata)
