I am not a technical expert & wondered if you had any docs that would
explain the installation of this. I have tried to install on PC (with
windows XP) & a PDA (Ipaq 2210) but have the same problem with each. The
problem is that when I start the .ewe I get the splash screen saying
'Starting Up Slim Remote...', it stops on 12% then after about 30secs I
get the Settings popup.
Then you've already succeeded in the hardest part: installing Ewe.
SlimRemote is running but seems to be unable to contact your slimserver.
Please check the following:
- the CLI plugin must be enabled (web interface: server settings)
- you need to open port 9090 on your server's firewall. Please follow the
following instructions and add 9090 to the list:

I presume I have not installed everything correctly so just wondered if
you could point me to an installation guide for dummies...!!
You did. IMHO it's a networking issue.
