The fact that mplayer works in standalone on a BBC station points to a configuration problem or a socketwrapper. Since you did the install from the installer and changed nothing - I think the confguration is OK. So we need to exhaust the socketwrapper area.
The socketwrapper problem is caused by software which monitors networking - typically firewall, antivirus but also includes VPN clients, anti spyware and IM protection. The version of socketwrapper which got around this problem was created by Ian Cook so it is worth trying. I copied the Ian Cook experimental socketwrapper and you should be able to pick it up from here http://homepage.eircom.net/~altondsl...2_20060220.zip Save the current socketwrapper (I think it is the server/Bin folder) app and replace by Ian Cook's version and then try again. Just to make things easier make sure firewall and AV are disabled. Just for the record what Firewall and AV s/w are you running ? -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22831 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
