I've just posted a new plugin: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/BottleRocket.html
It uses X10 "firecracker" hardware and the Unix/Linux "bottlerocket" command to turn on specific devices when you turn on specific Squeezeboxes (and turns them off when you turn off your Squeezeboxes). I use it for controlling power to the receiver I use with my SB2. It's a good receiver, but lacks remote control & I'm too lazy to walk over and press its power button. The plugin is probably Linux/Unix only at this point. There seems to be a cross-platform Perl X10 module that would probably work on Windows. Is anyone seriously interested in that? Mac -- I dunno, it seems like it's been ages since I've heard of anyone using a serial device like an X10 Firecracker on a Mac. Please post feedback or email me. I'd like to hear what you think. -Peter -- peterw ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24065 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
