Debian may have a slightly different file organisation but basically the same slimserver code runs on all systems. The file "slimserver.pl" is the main start file and has to exist. Look in the file /etc/init.d/slimserver to see how slimserver is started.
Hopefully another Debian user will provide the answer. You now mention Ubuntu - so what are you running Debian or Ubuntu ? Generally you can change user id by using the "su" command. You need to run d_plugins at startup - after system has started is too late - AlienBBC will have gone through its startup code. Going back to basics - Are there files and directories in the AlienAddon directory ? -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24533 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
