If you can run 6.3 (or 6.5) can I recommend you look at the WikiRadio plugin and wiki page:
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?WikiRadio The idea is that you can create an opml file with the station details you want to share and then attach the the file to the wiki page. Any slimserver user with the WikiRadio plugin installed will then be able to access your stations as a menu on their slim player.
