I'm sorry Triode, I don't know what a socket wrapper is or if I ever dowwloaded it. I am running my new 6.5 installation on a different PC than I was running 6.3 (on which AlienBBC worked). The 6.5 installation was made for the first time last week at the same time I installed the 1.03 version of AlienBBC using the provided Windows installer (this morning I upgraded to AlienBBC 1.04 and the latest 6.5 nightly). I only run one firewall and that is in my Linksys router. All my home network is behind this router. The only relevant setting this has is to forward port 9000 to my 6.3 installation of SlimServer. The firewall has not been adjusted for months. Unless I have musunderstood, for the purposes of listening to music at home on my hifi and controlling it with the remote or a compouter on my home network I do not need to adjust this port forwarding.
