In the Mplayer mailing list some users are discussing how to build an
Intel OSX mplayer as the current standard build instructions do not
work for OSX Intel and require some unacceptable (to the Mplayer
maintainers) hacks to make them work.
I used the mplayer that comes with FFMpegX which is a universal Binary.
It ends up getting installed in a compressed file in
/Library/Applications Support/FFMpegX/mplayer - I uncompressed this from
the finder and copied it to /usr/bin - works fine with AlienBBC.
