Since a few Intel Mac users seemed to be using the Mplayer from the AlienBBC page - I assume it works on Intel as well as PPPC. However I can't be sure whether it is Universal or passed through Rosetta.
I think the Mplayer on the Mplayer website is Universal (i.e. both PPC and Intel code in the same file) but I have no evidence - perhaps an Intel mac user can be definitive. I don't think there are any Intel only Mplayer for OSX - yet !.
