Ah but what about this for a possibility? Copyright issues not withstanding....
Change slimserver-convert.conf so that instead of streaming direct to the SB, mplayer writes the raw 'real audio' file to disk. Then once the write is complete let the mplayer decoder work in its own time (say overnight). The next day you have a wav file you can listen to and you get the advantage of the Slimserver's nice web pages as the UI. No idea if this is going to work, of course, but it could be a viable workaround until a) the code can be optimized or b) the BBC can be persuaded to stream some other format. cheers, -- Andrew -- Andrew ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Andrew's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6763 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26113 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
