Update! I found Inguz' own settings on his site and I took the normal.drc from there. I had to change one of the settings, I think it was the PSPointsFile which was set to something of his own. I changed that to flat.txt and kept all the other settings (checked that it still said ECM8000 for the MIC compensation).
Comparing this file to the standard normal.drc that comes with the package, there are many differences which I don't understand. Now this made a difference! Suddenly the tunnel is gone and I'm out in the light! The treble is now very good, midrange too. Bass however is still boomy, I played with the bass filters in the 9-band and tried to lower it, but didn't get any good results. Just had one more thought about the bass; My subwoofer is located in one of the back corners of the room (due to the WAF it cannot be placed more optimally at the front). I've read somewhere that the ECM8000 needs to be pointed direct towards the loudspeakers because it rolls off quickly in other directions. Could this mean that it simply doesn't "hear" my subwoofer right and then overcompensates the bass? In that case, it would be better if I could tell the filter to lay off any adjustments below X Hz, say 100 or so - but I don't know how to adjust that in the parameters. Or maybe there is some better way of doing it? -- CarlOtto ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CarlOtto's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3581 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26005 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
