Latest update: I powered down the Squeezebox and then couldn't get access to the Slimserver at all (SB couldn't connect nor could I access the webUI). The logs suggested a problem wth the SuperDateTime plugin. I deleted it from the Plugins directory and restarted slimserver. Not only did that allow me to access the Slimserver again, but the problems I noted above are no longer occurring. Perhaps there was some kind of strange interaction between SuperDateTime and the other Plugins.
