I've blown away my SS cache more than once since I first encountered this problem (for reasons completely unrelated to Moose).
For the "Various Artists" (which do not have an "Album Artist" tag), the artists do appear in brackets after the track names in the library. For the "!No Artist" items, the artists do NOT appear in brackets after the track names.
