Well, I'm stumped. I've read this thread 3 times, the WIKI post on how to integrate MIP (latest version download...V 1.7.1) with SS (I'm using version 6.51), and read the page hosted by MIP. Nothing works as advertised. Any input appreciated.
I have made sure (12 times) that the plug in for MusicMagic is checked in SS, and I click the change button. I install MIP. I stop SS. I open MIP. I make sure that in the Services tab of Preferences in MIP that "API" is checked and the service is started. I start SS. In the general server settings, I do NOT see the "Use MusicMagic" option at the bottom of the screen. I then try all sorts of permutations of starting, stopping, rescanning, clicking, praying...you know, all of the supertitious things we do when the logical stuff does not work. One clue, if indeed it is a clue: I do NOT have "SlimServer" listed in the Send To tab of Preferences in MIP. I see this in the screen shot of a previous poster on this thread. Should it be there? It is quite hard to determine, as the support Forums are all referencing old versions of MIP (or is it MMM...I'm lost in acronyms). Can anyone help. Seems like SS doesn't know MIP is there, or MIP isn't addressing SS, or something. I've left the port at the default on both the SS and MIP sides.
