Hi old chap.;)

I'm taking a guess here but maybe this new Blue Tooth function requires
a rpi3 with the BTooth feature.

A BTooth dongle would be required for the rpi1 I think.

I have installed Max2Play lots of times without problemo, If you can
wait until the weekend I can try it on a rpi3.

Hope all is well, have you seen St.Nick getting ready for his next big
trip to NL,DE and everywhere else?
