I've spent the last couple days using the 1.09 CD Player plugin for linux armhf (perl 5.24) and i386 (perl 5.14.2) and was unable to reproduce the Error while contacting MusicBrainz. Could be I didn't wait long enough after changing a CD as you suggested, but I've usually gotten a drive not ready or no media found in the past. No matter, it's working great for me. I haven't played that many physical CDs in a short time since I bought my first SB3 10 years ago. However, not having to rip a new CD before I can listen to it on a squeezebox is still great!
