This is not the case. I loaded the 48khz files onto the mobile, and
played with a local app. They worked just fine.

So, to recap, I have some files with a 48khz sampling rate (most of my
many thousands of files are 44.1, with a few at 96, some at odd rates;
the majority of my files are lossless flacs; the ones in question are
MP3s with a bit rate of 320kbps). Although ALL other files work fine
with SBPlayer, the ones with the 48khz rate do not. I get an error from
SBP saying "unsupported sample rate", an error I don't get with any
other sampling rate.

At least one other player app plays the 48khz files without difficulty;
as noted, the mobile itself can play the files when installed and played
locally. It's only SBP that seems unable to play these files.

It's a mystery.
