I have an old iPod Touch in a 30 pin dock that is a fixed player but I have to wake it up.
There is a slight flaw in the old iPad as fixed player idea. To be always on you are going to tie up the lightning adapter so you are going to be limited to the iPad's onboard dac. Does anyone know if there is some kind of adapter that would let you use the lightning connector for both power and the Camera Connector to a USB DAC?
