Ok, the search window losing focus is a known issue if for some reason the menu gets reloaded. I'll have to look at that, I think it's probably solvable by making search a more regular main menu position.
The duplicate players is something I have occasionally seen, too, since I didn't have other reports I thought it might be due to my test setup. And yes, now that you mention it it might be related to 7.9 Im only seeing it with iPeng as a player, never Squeezeboxes or other devices and I think it's only on the device acting as a player itself (so if your iPhone is the duplicate player it will only show in iPeng on that same iPhone).
