On a windows installation all you have to do is install the plugin and
you're good to go.  A windows installation already includes something
to decode the stream.

On a non-windows machine a working installation of AlienBBC includes
something to decode the stream.  I believe it uses mplayer, but it may
also use LAME.

SiriusRadio will appear in the Server Settings-> Internet Radio page
regardless of if AlienBBC is installed (once the plugin itself is
installed).

Yes it's easier on a Windows system to get everything working, but once
everything is set up it shouldn't matter.
