It depends on what you do outside of iPeng.
IPeng remembers the last state/position as long as it doesn't get killed
in the background by iOS.
Whether it gets killed or not depends on the other apps you use when you
leave iPeng. IPeng tries to free up as much memory as possible but if
the other apps need so much memory that even that is not enough, iPeng
gets killed.

There is another potential issue, albeit that should be unusual if you
are playing: if IPeng takes a long time to reconnect to the server when
you return it will also forget the position but that should really be
unusual, I think the timeout is a minute or so.
