Dave, did you try with the default v7.2.2 first and then upgrade to v7.9?.
when I have installed LMS on My Qnap I always started with the default 7.2.2, configured everything that I knew would work OK on the old version and then upgraded to the new. On the Qnap there were also certain lines of code to adjust for the v7.9, I don't know if that is required for the Asustor.
