The "order" is the order of items layered on the screen - yes, I used it for a slight drop-shadow on the time - the top text is in WHITE, the shadow text is LIGHTGRAY.

I don't believe HEX values work. Erland's CustomClock recognizes standard colors, with some variations. I think there are RED, YELLOW, BLUE, GREEN, GRAY, WHITE, BLACK and "LIGHT" combinations (LIGHTGRAY).
