Hey Davey, When you press play, do you see something like, "Retrieving Station Play URL..." displayed on your SB? If so, it sounds like there may be a bug in the protocol handler. Could you set the --d_plugins and --d_directstream flags and press play on a station and post the results from the log (make sure to strip out the authentication info from the log). You can simply set the debug flags in the web interface, press play, wait a second and turn them back off.
Also, do you see any feed back on your SB (e.g. connecting..., failed to connect to remote url..., does it get stuck with buffering [24%], etc.)?
