I am having the same issue with the artwork with the server version 7.9.0 - 1488878280 @ Wed Mar 8 14:27:16 UTC 2017 It seems to work with a recent nightly. I upgraded my server to 7.9.1 and there i can't reproduce the problem.
Ok, I can reproduce this. I did indeed improve support for https in 7.9.1 shortly after the 7.9.0 release. Therefore I'd recommend anyone facing this issue to update to a 7.9.1 nightly.
