A statically linked version is now part of the plugin. Did that still
not work for you? Others have reported success...

I think that's pretty normal. It shouldn't last for long, as this is
while LMS/Spotty is buffering as much of the audio data as quickly as
possible. This usually takes a few seconds before the load would lower
again (as you noticed). I could imagine this potentially being a problem
on a single core system. But with a Pi3 it's good use of its
capabilities :-).

That's way too much. Me too, I think it takes a tad longer than with
previous Spotify implementations, but it's rather in the range of 1-2
seconds, and for the first track only.

That's not working as expected yet. There are bugs in librespot which
render this effort kind of pointless. I wonder how you even got it
working?!?
