There is a bug in the latest chromecast firmware and I to do a workaround that might explain. I have to stick with that until issue is solved. Bear in mind that "sync" as you said should not really work between these devices. But you did not say "what does not work anymore" LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
