I guess the main issue is that I was stupid enough to purchase the DS2015xs, with the Alpine CPU/SOC. Then Synology ditched the platform, and don't support it with new cool stuff like Docker, Btrfs and more. Bummer, but shame on Synology too for bringing such odd stuff to market just to ditch it shortly after. They should honestly buy it back and sell me something more future proof instead. Anyway, I solved it by converting my OpenELEC HTPC to Win10/Kodi, running CastBridge there instead. It runs 24x7 anyway.
