For v0.5.0 I've ported most of the official app's menus to the Spotty plugin. Head over to the Settings and enable the experimental Spotty menu. It has a confusing resemblance with the official Spotify menu. Only the label seems to be different. But under the hood it's completely re-written to be independent of mysqueezebox.com. Please give it a try!
The same warning as before applies: I don't know yet how they're dealing with the rate limiting. We haven't seen any issues so far. But obviously using the menus will add to the total number of queries launched. But we'll see. If you encounter any issue browsing the Spotty menus, please check server.log whether there are any traces of an error 429. Thanks! This menu can be used in parallel with the existing implementation, or totally independent. You could even remove the Spotify app from mysb.com at this point. Good luck with that :-).
