Michael Just letting you know I think I have resolved the problem with my Pi3 / pCp 3.2 based LMS.
The device in question was simply doing to much work. It was both LMS and a Player (part of a sync group) and had a Touchscreen. The issue however was mostly the fact it also had a USB DAC.
