I've been working with the portaudio pulseaudio hostapi developer the last couple weeks and have fixed several issues. The workaround in squeezelite is no longer required to handle the hang on sample rate change. Fixed a pulseaudio hostapi segmentation fault on exit. A new '1.8.6-987 pulseaudio squeezelite build' (https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezelite/linux/squeezelite-pulse-1.8.6-987-debian8-x86_64.tar.gz/download) is available on sourceforge. Older builds have been removed. The pulseaudio library still doesn't support stream time reporting. The developer is working on it.
