Thanks Michael. I learned about the forthcoming problem yesterday and made the switch from Triode's plug-in today. Despite having to download the Microsoft environment in only took ten minutes and is working smoothly.
One thing - I used to get a persistent Windows popup saying 'spotifyd.exe has stopped working' although everything was fine. If I shut it down it would pop up again immediately. After a while it stayed closed. Now I have the same thing with 'spotty.exe!'
