In the works but still not released. Currently, the iOS 11 redesign has priority but does contain a lot of refactoring which should make a TV app easier. One problem is that Apple TV, like other iOS devices, doesnt allow background daemons which means youd have to start the App in the foreground first to play something, you cant just start playback remotely. This severely limits its application, IMHO. I actually feel its easier to use AppleTV through AirPlay (e.g. using the AirPlay bridge plugin) than with a dedicated app.
