No, it means that the software control is not made by translating LMS into AirPlay commands but instead by applying gain on each and every sample, while not using the "knob" on the AirPlay device - I think nobody should do that LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
