Thanks - addressing the queries/suggestions:
- the files are generally ripped from CDs or converted (if needed) from
high-res files by dbPoweramp (to suit the DAC in my active speakers) to
a max of 48kHz/24bits. ALAC usually.
- An example of an album that does not play on my PC or PiCorePlayer but
does play on iPeng and my Android phone - ripped from CD - ALAC,
44.1kHz, 16 bit, 1,411 kbps.
- Another example of one that does not play on my PC or PCP but does on
iPeng and android is an unchanged download FLAC file/44.1kHz/16bit.
- PiCorePlayer and my PC are all set up with the full codec set and both
work with other files..
- for example - a CD ripped and (unnecessarily) saved as ALAC, 48kHz,
24bit, 2,304kbps works.
- re: web interface - yes, I was referring to the timer. It does go on
for >2 mins if I let it.
- I've tweaked the logging settings and enclose the log file. 22:10:33
and soon after is when I tried to play the Thelonious Monk ripped CD
(44.1/16) on my PC but it didn't.
many thanks
George
