LMS sees the changes and title/artwork changes as expected when use
JiveLite to monitor this player.
I'll try to grab some logs tomorrow.

I tried controlling it using Windows "Cast to device" sending flac with
embedded art and the art did not show up for that either (it did appear
in the Windows controller).
TV shows time played, artist, title, album and a number which I presume
is the track number.

I'm sure it is not a significant issue for most people.
To emulate it simply make a .cue file and point it at an MP3 file and
then scan it into LMS.
Something like this:

Code:
--------------------

  PERFORMER "A Performer"
  FILE "myownmp3file.mp3" MP3
  TITLE "My Album"
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
  TITLE "Track 1"
  PERFORMER "Artist 1"
  INDEX 01 000:00:00
  TRACK 02 AUDIO
  TITLE "Track 2 - short"
  PERFORMER "Artist 2"
  INDEX 01 000:1:00
  TRACK 03 AUDIO
  TITLE "Track 3"
  PERFORMER "Artist 3"
  INDEX 01 000:1:15

--------------------
