Audio is always sent to AirPlay devices using ALAC. The flow is LMS out => (mp3, flac, pcm, aac) Bridge In => Decode to PCM => Encode in ALAC => Bridge out => AirPlay Device For all other formats, LMS will do the transcoding before sending it to the Bridge LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
