Caution: Newbie warning! I would need some help getting the Execute.pm to work.
Here is what I have done so far: Installed execute.pm by copying it into the plugins folder of my Slimserver installation Created a folder scripts and copied my batch files/scripts (xxx.bat) in there. In the Server Setting / Plugins menu ticked Execute Script; refreshed. Selected the desired scripts, e.g. ON Play => test.bat (test.bat simply opens a DOS box on my desktop and is verified to work when double-clicking it.) Included the Execute Script in the players menu. I use Softqueeze and a Squeezebox3. Hitting the play button on either the Softsqueeze or the Squeezebox remote causes the OSD to change and to briefly show running script .. test.bat. However the script does not actually be launched, i.e. no DOS box pops up. (I have deactivated my software firewall for the moment.) What I am missing? Thanks much!
