Ah, well that surprises me. For one thing, the error messages in both cases come immediately and the install aborts. I'd have thought an invalid license would prevent usage in some way but not installation. I don't know which package installer you are referring to; it's the OS itself that comes into play at install time, right? The only app I'm using is an APK extractor; yes I could go down that route but I wanted to validate my process first. And thanks for the suggestion re buying again.
